Connect your account
Sign in to FiloMail, connect your first mailbox, and use the account picker to add other supported mailboxes when you need them.
Filo sign-in and mailbox connections are separate — The current FiloMail sign-in screen starts with Google on Desktop, iOS, and Android. This signs you in to your Filo account. Afterward, the mailbox picker under Settings → Account can connect Gmail, Outlook, and supported IMAP mailboxes to the same Filo account.
1. Sign in to FiloMail
- Launch FiloMail and select Sign in with Google.
- Complete the Google sign-in flow. If FiloMail asks to authorize Gmail access, review the request and continue to connect that Gmail mailbox.
- Wait for the connected mailbox to appear. Sync time depends on the provider, mailbox size, connection, and device.
2. Add another mailbox
The current account picker shows Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo, iCloud, 163 Mail, QQ Mail, and IMAP config. Use the dedicated provider entry when one is available; choose IMAP config for Aliyun or another compatible standard IMAP/SMTP service.
Desktop
- Open Settings → Account.
- Select the + button beside Connected Email Accounts.
- Choose the provider and complete its authorization or IMAP/SMTP form.
iOS and Android
- Open Settings → Account.
- Select the + button beside Email Accounts.
- Choose the provider and complete its authorization or IMAP/SMTP form.
After a mailbox is connected
- Use All Accounts or All Inboxes for a unified view of supported Gmail, Outlook, and IMAP messages.
- Choose one account from the account selector or sidebar when you only want that mailbox and its folders.
- The account appears under Settings → Account, where the available management actions depend on its provider and state.

- Google or Microsoft authorization does not finish: Return to FiloMail and retry the provider flow. If the account already appears but needs attention, open Settings → Account and use Reconnect when that action is shown.
- An IMAP password is rejected: Many providers require an authorization code or app-specific password instead of the normal account password. Confirm that IMAP/SMTP access is enabled with the provider.
- Your provider is not listed: Choose IMAP config → Custom IMAP/SMTP if the provider allows standard third-party IMAP and SMTP access.
