Change AI language & tone
Use the Settings → Language screen to control both the app's interface language and the language Filo uses for Summaries & To-dos. Tone lives in the AI prompt.
1 · App interface language
- Open
Settings→Language - Tap App → choose System (follow device) or select a language from the list
- Relaunch Filo if the UI doesn't refresh right away
2 · Summary & To-do language
- Still in
Settings→Language - Tap Summary & To-do
- Pick Auto (mirror the App/System language) or choose a specific language
- All new Summaries and To-dos will now appear in that language; existing ones stay as-is
Tip: Keep Auto on to prioritize Summary & To-do output in your current device language.
3 · Adjust the tone
- Go to
Settings→Customize AI - In the single Custom Prompt box, add tone guidance, e.g.
Summaries: 1-2 sentences, neutral.
Drafts & Quick Replies: friendly business tone, <120 words.
Drafts & Quick Replies: friendly business tone, <120 words.
- Tap Save—every future Summary, Draft, and Quick Reply will follow the new style
Notes & Tips
- •Interface vs. AI output — You can run Filo in English but have summaries returned in Japanese, or vice versa.
- •Custom Prompt scope — One prompt governs tone everywhere (Summaries, Drafts, Quick Replies).
- •Language coverage — Current options include English, 简体中文, 繁體中文, 日本語, Français, Italiano, Deutsch, Español, Português, Русский, हिन्दी, 한국어, العربية.
