Not receiving email notifications?
FiloMail can notify you through Agent when new emails and new to-dos arrive. Due to-dos can also remind you before their deadline.
Email notifications are powered by Agent: when push is enabled and usage is available, Agent analyzes incoming messages and sends the notifications that matter.
How to turn on email push
Make sure notifications are enabled both at the system level and inside FiloMail.
- Open your system settings and allow notifications for FiloMail.
- In FiloMail, go to Agent → Connections.
- Find the connected email account you want to use. FiloMail currently supports Gmail and Outlook for email push.
- Turn on Push for that connection.
After this is enabled, Agent will analyze received emails and push notifications when the related usage quota is available.
Why email notifications might not arrive
If you still are not receiving email notifications, check these common causes:
- •FiloMail system notifications are off: The operating system must allow notifications for FiloMail before any push can appear outside the app.
- •Push is off for that email connection: Open Agent > Connections and confirm Push is enabled for the connected mailbox.
- •Email-Triage usage is unavailable: If there is no available Email-Triage quota for the time window, Agent may not analyze and push that email.
- •Agent received the message, but no external push appeared: If a device signed in to the same account is currently online, it may prevent out-of-app push delivery.
