Connections
A Connection lets Agent access an external service within the permissions you approve. Once connected, Agent can read or act on that service only within the authorized scope.
Connected email accounts also support Push to Agent. After enabling it, new email updates can be pushed into the Agent conversation automatically.

You can also ask Agent to connect another mailbox through IMAP. This is useful for iCloud Mail, QQ Mail, and other mailboxes that support standard IMAP.
Type /create_connection to create a connection, ask Agent to connect a service, or open Connections from the top-right entry and choose Add new connection. OAuth services use secure authorization flows; for IMAP, Agent guides you through the required server settings and app-password setup when your provider requires it.
Mail Push and Writing Emails
Incoming mail appears in the Agent conversation through Push. Once your mailbox is connected and the relevant Trigger is enabled, Agent can bring in only the information that deserves your attention.
For each pushed email, you can open the details and take action directly, including reply, forward, archive, or reduce similar notifications.
You can also ask Agent to write a new email or draft a reply from the current conversation. Tell it the recipient, goal, tone, and length; Agent prepares the draft, can revise it with you, and asks for confirmation before sending.
Triggers
Triggers let Agent start automatically. You can use them to receive new mail push updates or run scheduled summaries, reminders, and cleanups.

Set the schedule
When you create a scheduled Trigger, the Schedule section decides when Agent runs. The line under the selector previews the schedule you chose.

| Interval | Run repeatedly, such as every 30 minutes. Use it for frequent checks or lightweight monitoring. |
| Daily | Run once per day at a chosen time. Use it for morning briefs, end-of-day summaries, or daily reminders. |
| Cron | Use a custom cron schedule for advanced patterns, such as weekdays only or several fixed times. |
Cron uses 5 fields:minute hour day month weekday. The hour field uses 24-hour time, and Filo Agent's minimum execution interval is 30 minutes. Common examples:0 8 * * *daily at 08:00,*/30 * * * *every 30 minutes,0 9 * * 1-5weekdays at 09:00.
After choosing the schedule, write the Prompt as the instruction Agent should follow every time the Trigger runs.
Created Triggers can be turned on, turned off, or edited manually at any time. Each Agent supports up to 5 Triggers.

Upload Files
Upload files to let Agent summarize, extract details, or draft messages from the content. Files uploaded into Agent are for analysis; only attachments added to the mail composer are sent with an email.

Dictate
Dictate helps Agent recognize your voice input more accurately. It turns what you say into clearer text, so the content you send is easier for AI to understand and act on.
Usage
Usage appears inside the Agent conversation and shows the current Agent's actual usage.
- •Chat: Regular conversation usage.
- •Automation: Automated task usage, including Task, Trigger, and Mail Push.
If Automation or Mail Push usage is high, ask Agent to reduce push frequency, only push important emails, keep mail push under 50 words, or pause an automated task.
Approval and Safety
Agent can take action for you, but key actions ask for confirmation first. Before sending mail, batch-processing mail, creating or modifying Triggers, connecting external services, or using tools that may affect another system, you can review the action and decide.
