Personalization
Personalization lets Filo understand how you work through five editable files. These files guide how your agent behaves, handles email, manages tasks, remembers preferences, and uses your personal context.
Your agent can update these rules as it learns from your behavior, and you can also edit them manually at any time.
What Personalization includes
Agent behavior.md | Defines how your Filo Agent should think, respond, prioritize instructions, and handle conflicting guidance. |
Email triage.md | Tells Filo how to classify, prioritize, summarize, and act on incoming emails. |
To-do manage.md | Guides how Filo should extract, organize, follow up on, and update tasks. |
Memory rules.md | Controls what Filo should remember, ignore, or treat as temporary context. |
User information.md | Stores stable personal context such as your role, preferences, working style, and frequently used details. |
How to update Personalization
Ask your agent
Tell Filo what you want to change in chat. For example, you can say:
- •"Remember that I prefer concise replies."
- •"Always treat invoices as finance-related."
Edit manually
Open Personalization from Settings, choose a file, and directly edit the rules.
Previous Customize AI instructions
If you previously used Customize AI, your original instructions are still available. They are not deleted.
Click Copy Original to copy your previous instructions and reuse them in the new Personalization files.
Tips for better personalization
- •Be specific about behavior — Instead of "write better replies," say "write concise, polite replies under 120 words."
- •Put rules in the right file — Use Email triage.md for email handling, To-do manage.md for tasks, and Agent behavior.md for general agent behavior.
- •Keep long-term preferences separate from one-time requests — Personalization is best for rules you want Filo to keep using in the future.
